Tandia Financial (Tandia) is seeking a Member Solutions Associate to join our Ancaster Branch team. This is a temporary full-time position. This posting is for an existing vacancy and the expected starting rate is $30.90.

Position Overview

This position will be responsible for providing a range of services to members including responding to members’ inquiries, analyzing members’ needs and utilizing the product or service which best meets those needs. This position will cross-sell Tandia's products, process members’ transactions (cash and other general services) and process members’ requests for account updates and closures. Promotes, up-sells and cross-sells the full range of lending and investment products and sundry services in order to build Member relationships and meet growth objectives. Is the primary resource for actively soliciting new sales opportunities by following up on staff referrals, incoming credit checks and identifying target areas and subsequent cold calls to capitalize on growth opportunities. Manages portfolio of assigned accounts while increasing volume of business annually to targets required through annual branch budget. Actively participates in all branch campaigns and promotions to meet growth targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and developing growth opportunities for the achievement of the assigned sales targets and goals set out by the department Manager.
  • Actively solicit, follow-up and cross-sell products and services to members to increase the share of wallet.
  • Uncover opportunities to fulfil member financial needs; through in-person discussions with member, and out-bounding initiatives.
  • Responsible for opening new memberships and building the member relationship through the onboarding process.
  • Responsible to efficiently interview members to promote, up-sell and cross-sell unsecured lending products such as: consumer loans, lines of credit and credit cards.
  • Responsible for assessing credit worthiness utilizing credit granting criteria.
  • Where member needs are identified provide relevant and qualified referrals to appropriate team members.
  • Responsible for adherence to all cash handling in accordance with the internal policies.
  • Responsible for treasury management and balancing and replenishment of the ATM.
  • Responsible for completing member’s day-to-day banking needs.
  • Track activity and results for retention, consolidation, acquisition, as required.
  • Work with members to resolve inquiries and/or concerns.
  • Interprets and applies branch operating procedures and lending policies to ensure that guidelines are adhered to.
  • Actively work on all assigned outbound calling initiatives ie. Term Maturities, Campaign Assignments, Retention Calls etc.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of relevant experience. 
  • High school diploma; Undergraduate degree or equivalent is an asset.
  • Active participant in professional development – relevant training programs and courses as assigned.
  • Strong sales acumen.
  • Proficient organizational and time management skills to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A go-getter who can exercise initiative and be detailed oriented to handle several tasks and changing priorities. 
  • A strong communicator with established customer experience skills who can connect both verbally and in writing.
