We are currently hiring a Talent Acquisition Manager based in our Head Office in Burnaby.

As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will play a key role in attracting, engaging, and welcoming talent to BCAA. Reporting to the Senior Manager, People Partnerships & Talent Acquisition, you will lead a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition Specialists while also staying hands-on with recruitment for a select portfolio of client groups.

This role blends program ownership, people leadership, and active recruitment delivery. You will shape and execute talent acquisition strategies, strengthen our employer brand, and partner closely with leaders across the organization to deliver timely, inclusive, and high-quality hiring outcomes that support BCAA’s business and People & Culture priorities.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the end-to-end Talent Acquisition function while delivering full-cycle recruitment for a designated client group, balancing hands-on hiring with ownership of programs and results.

  • Build, coach, and inspire a talented team of Talent Acquisition Specialists, creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and set up to succeed.

  • Partner closely with hiring leaders to deliver great hiring outcomes, bringing the right talent in at the right time, in a way that reflects our values and culture.

  • Bring BCAA’s employer brand to life by shaping engaging candidate experiences, creative sourcing approaches, and talent programs that tell our story authentically.

  • Turn talent strategy into action by designing and evolving recruitment initiatives that strengthen pipelines, support internal mobility, and respond to changing business needs.

  • Set clear standards and strong governance across recruitment processes to ensure fairness, consistency, and quality at every stage of the hiring journey.

  • Look for better ways of working, leading process improvements that make recruitment more efficient, scalable, and effective.

  • Manage and evolve relationships with recruitment partners and vendors, ensuring they deliver value and align with our expectations.

What you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or a related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in talent acquisition with 2+ years of experience in a leadership capacity.

  • Experience with Workday and working in a unionized environment is an asset.

  • Proven experience leading and developing talent acquisition or recruitment teams.

  • Strong hands-on experience delivering full-cycle recruitment in a complex or fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.

  • Experience using data, metrics, and insights to inform decisions and improve performance.

  • Strong stakeholder partnership skills and the ability to influence with credibility.

  • A collaborative, inclusive leadership style and a passion for developing others.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Knowledge of recruitment technology, sourcing strategies, and emerging TA trends.

The salary range for this position is $110,000 to $125,000 per year and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 12.5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 20%.

Please note that this is a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.
