Your Role in Supporting Our Members:

As the Director, Strategic Insights, you will lead the Strategic Insights function within the Analytics Centre of Excellence, shaping how data and analytics inform enterprise-wide decision making. You will engage closely with business leaders to scope and prioritize analytics initiatives, translate complex insights into compelling narratives, and influence strategic direction through advanced analytics methodologies. This role is ideal for a senior analytics leader who brings strong business acumen, enterprise influence, and a passion for fostering an analytical mindset across a complex organization.

This is a Full-time, Permanent role based at our Vancity head office and will report directly to the VP, Data, Analytics and AI. While this position provides a hybrid work arrangement, you will be expected to be on-site for events and business demands

How You'll Make an Impact:

  • Leading the Strategic Insights team to deliver high‑value, enterprise‑wide analytics and insights
  • Engaging with business partners to scope, prioritize, and execute analytics initiatives aligned to ACE strategy
  • Influencing executive and senior leader decision making through data‑driven recommendations
  • Translating complex analytics into clear, compelling insights and strategic narratives
  • Promoting best practices in analytics methodologies and insight generation across the organization
  • Representing ACE on enterprise committees and cross‑functional forums
  • Building strong relationships with lines of business to embed insights into everyday decisioning
  • Fostering an engaged, agile, and high‑performing Strategic Insights team
  • Evolving team capabilities and skills to meet changing organizational needs
     


What You’ll Bring to the Team:

  • A university degree in analytics, business, economics, data science, statistics, or a related field
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in analytics, strategic insights, or data‑driven decision support
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience, including leading senior analytical professionals
  • Demonstrated experience influencing executive‑level stakeholders through insights and recommendations
  • Strong knowledge of analytics methodologies, frameworks, and best practices
  • Proven ability to translate complex data into meaningful, actionable business insights
  • Experience working in large, complex, or matrixed organizations

What You’ll Earn:

This role offers a salary range of $148,000-$174,100 per annum. The base pay offered may vary depending on factors such as relevant qualifications, skills, previous experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, employees may also be eligible for our annual incentive program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
