We are currently hiring a Banking and Transactions Coordinator based in our Head Office location in Burnaby.

As a Banking and Transactions Coordinator, you will be responsible for bank reconciliations, transaction processing, and coordination of bank, Moneris, and Amex activities. You’ll also support the integrity of membership accounts, contribute to system initiatives, and assist with audits and special projects, all while delivering strong customer service and meeting critical deadlines.

What you’ll do:

  • Prepare journal entries to record bank transactions and adjustments

  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for BCAA within scheduled deadlines

  • Prepare monthly interest accruals and merchant fee allocations

  • Ensure all cash reports are closed prior to month end

  • Support year end activities, including stale dated cheque reconciliations and unclaimed property reporting

  • Execute bank transfers and process stop payment requests

  • Coordinate Moneris, Amex, and bank related activities, including user and account setup

  • Set up and maintain merchant accounts and online banking user access

  • Resolve issues related to cheques, cash flow, and credit card data

  • Review and resolve integrity reports, failed payments, refunds, and suspense accounts

  • Support system testing and work on NEAT and other system initiatives

  • Assist with annual and interim audits and other projects as assigned

What you bring:

  • Completion of a two-year accounting diploma program, or completion of introductory accounting coursework combined with a minimum of three years of related experience

  • Two to three years of experience performing account and bank reconciliations

  • Demonstrated experience with high volume reconciliations and basic cash management processes

  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills

  • Experience working in a computerized accounting environment with strong attention to detail

  • Proven organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy or quality

The salary range for this position is $31.10/hr ($56,605.68) to $38.88/hr ($70,757.04) and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.

Please note that this is a temporary contract role for 6-months. This role is also a hybrid role based out of our Burnaby, BC office (3 on-site / 2 remote days). Applicants who are not located within commuting distance of our Head Office or are not looking to relocate to the Greater Vancouver/Lower Mainland/Fraser Valley region will not be considered.
