Position Overview

 This role gives you the flexibility you want along with a base pay and commission pay structure. As part of our Mobile Mortgage team, you will help your members anytime and anywhere they need a mortgage. You will build strong member relationships, explore opportunities for community partnerships, and source new mortgage business for StellerVista. This unique role allows you to work within your home office, network extensively within the area, and provide excellent service to members - something StellerVista is known for.

This is a permanent full-time position (37 hours per week) which is outside of the bargaining unit.

 What You Will Do

• Build, service and maintain an external portfolio of mortgage and loans clients not already being served by the retail branch network.
• Write new mortgages and conduct due diligence in the documentation processes.
• Enhance the experience of members by helping them with the home buying process and their mortgage.
• Connect members to other delivery channels at StellerVista for additional services and cross sales.
• Meet short, medium, and long terms sales and growth targets.
• Through community outreach and engagement, explore and pursue emerging opportunities to develop community partnerships, and continuously build relationships with key community partners and agencies.

Education & Experience

Do you have a passion for helping people and a reputation for sales success and building relationships in your career?  The ideal candidate would have the following:

• Completion of a two- year diploma in business administration or business management diploma from a college or university
• Completion of formal education in financial products, services and consumer/residential mortgage lending
• Should have 4 years’ related experience in a financial institution in consumer lending with an emphasis on complex construction and portfolio management and including at least 2 years in a mobile mortgage capacity with demonstrated ability to achieve results.

OR

An equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Additionally,

• You are highly motivated with demonstrated sales and lending skills from four years related experience.
• You bring to the team or have experience developing a well-established network of realtors, builders, financial planners, and other stakeholders.
• You have a well-developed value proposition, differentiating yourself from other mortgage specialists.
• You are an excellent communicator, having the ability to take complex ideas and simplify the message so others understand.
• You are flexible to work around your members’ schedules, whether it is in the evenings, weekends or during regular business hours.

Successful applicants will also be required to upgrade skills yearly by taking related courses in your education course checklist.

Compensation

 Base pay range:  $25 000 to $50 000 per annum
