A well-established, locally operated organization in the environmental services sector is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join their dedicated team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting functions, and ensuring smooth billing and payment processes.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:
- Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
- Maintain accurate, organized, and up-to-date financial records
- Support month-end close processes and related reporting activities
- Respond to customer billing inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and applicable accounting standards
- Provide general administrative and office support as required to ensure smooth operations
Experience & Attributes for Success:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping or versatile accounting support role
- Diploma in Business, Office Administration, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Commitment to work full-time hours Monday through Friday, fully on-site
