We're seeking an enthusiastic and motivated
Accountant to join our clients' team in
Hanwell, NB. This
permanent opportunity as part of an energetic and dedicated team is ideal for an organized professional who enjoys working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities for the Job:- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
- Complete bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations
- Create and prepare journal entries
- Prepare monthly tax filings, including HST/GST, QST, and payroll remittances
- Assist in the full month-end close cycle
- Support implementation of ongoing process improvement initiatives
- Assist management in preparing various financial and operational reporting documents
Experience & Attributes for Success:- Post-secondary training in accounting
- Minimum of 3+ years of relevant accounting experience in a similar role
- Experience in multi-jurisdictional or multi-currency organizations is an asset
- Experience with Jonas Construction Software is an asset
- Confident in computerized environments, including advanced proficiency with MS Excel and Outlook
- Bilingualism is an asset
- Self-driven, organized, and results-oriented with a positive outlook
- Superior analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Critical thinker with adaptability to change
