We are looking for an Accountant to join BrokerLink and work out of our Calgary, AB office on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

What the Role Entails:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements, supporting schedules, and other reporting requirements.
  • Support the Financial reporting team during month, quarter and year end
  • Reconcile various balance sheet accounts including bank, payroll, capital assets, bonus and other sub-ledger accounts.
  • Work on preliminary/final purchase price calculations for new acquisitions and prepare purchase journal entries.
  • Review opening/final acquisition balances, monthly movements, and final reconciliations for various acquisitions.
  • Prepare various regulatory and government reporting (RIBO, GST&HST, sales taxes, quarterly surveys etc.)
  • Complete other tasks as assigned and other ad-hoc reporting and accounting projects as required

The Successful candidate will have:

  • Diploma or Degree in accounting, finance
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in full-cycle accounting, financial analysis
  • Must have advanced excel skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Ability to work well with and assist others
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem solving, organizational, time management, prioritizing and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
